Automotive
Cincinnati Steel Treating (CST) has a tremendous amount of experience in heat treating parts for the automotive industry. CST performs nitriding, carbo-nitriding, carburizing, FNC, neutral hardening, induction hardening, and flame hardening. CST is certified to IATF 16949, and we are expert at designing manufacturing routings, control plans, and FMEAS for any parts that are sent to us. We also have experience with statistical process control (SPC), and we have a long track record of working with many partners in the automotive supply chain.
Energy/Power Generation
Cincinnati Steel Treating (CST) has heat-treated many different types of parts for the energy/power generation industry. Steel Industry
Cincinnati Steel Treating (CST) has provided services for many different customers in the steel industry. We have heat treated parts for steel service centers, steel mill builders, and steel mills directly. We have carburized and hardened large gears used in hot mills, we have treated tool steel blades used in slitting operations, and we have performed stress relief heat treatments on large steel fabrications. We have also flame hardened rolls that are used in various equipment in the steel mill including pickling lines, runout tables, and paint lines. We have three large car-bottom furnaces for large parts, and we are expert in processing gears with minimal distortion.
