Hardness Testing

At Cincinnati Steel Treating, we have a fully staffed, in-house metallurgical laboratory at our facility in Cincinnati, OH. Hardness testing is performed at final inspections and this lab, as well as metallurgical analysis and a number of critical quality inspections related to our heat treating services. In addition to routine tests that are used to fulfill hardness and other heat treating specifications, our metallurgist and lab staff use advanced tools for checking case depths, microhardness, microstructures and a full spectrum of tests to evaluate the metallurgy of parts that we process in our plant. These advanced inspection capabilities are key to CST’s certified Quality Assurance Program and our well-established reputation for customer satisfaction.
